パソコンを使う時は、デュアルモニターが当たり前になっています。
家でも、職場でも。
画面が広くなって、作業効率は向上します。
しかし、そこには、効率と引き換えになっている罠があるのを見つけました。
集中力です。
なぜ、そこに気がついたのかと、
MacBookだけを持ち歩いて作業している時の方が、集中していたからです。
ブログを書くためだけのウィンドウを表示していると、他の作業に脱線することが少ないです。
しかし、デュアルモニターだと、もう一つのモニターに、SNSなどを表示させてしまいます。
何も表示させていないと、ただの壁紙だけになってしまうので、なんか勿体ない気がするんです。
そのせいで、集中力が途切れて、脱線しています。
一見、デュアルモニターの方が効率が向上しているかもしれませんが、逆に、生産性は落ちているのかもしれません。
ただ、一概にはそうとは言えない部分もあるのは確か。
ケースバイケースなので、デュアルモニターの使い所を、もうちょっと探求してみたいと思います。
